Rick currently works for Food Forensics, a company that tests the origin of food across global supply chains. He is passionate about sustainable and transparent supply chains, and his career and motivation is driven by building a fair and compassionate commercial environment for producers, people and animals.

He has been in the food industry for the last 25 years with senior roles from gate to plate, leading on commercial, strategic procurement, social, ethical & technical compliance, and latterly building disruptive technology solutions in this space.

He has also developed and sold two award-winning food companies, and founded The STAR Index as his third. His many awards include being former UK Young Agri-Consultant of the Year, Shell UK Entrepreneur of the Year Runner-Up, a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science & Technology, and former Dragons Den contestant.
